რას ხედავთ?
რაღაცნაირ ხის ქერქს! ხომ ასეა?
არც მეტი არც ნაკლები, ეს რაღაცნაირი ხის ქერქი კი არა, ათასობით და ათიათასობით მონეტაა შეჭედილი ხის ქერქში, ერთადერთი მოტივით - განკურნება!
გასული საუკუნის 30იან წლებში, სოფელ Gwynedd_ში, სადღესასწაულოდ შეკრებილმა ინგლისელებმა, ეზოში აღმოაჩნეს ხე, რომელსაც უჩვეულოდ ბევრი მონეტა ჰქონდა მიჭედებული ქერქში. ეს სოფელი, Portmeirion_თან ახლოს მდებარეობს. იმ დღის შემდეგ, ასეთი კიდევ რამდენიმე ხე იპოვეს ამ სოფლებში.
ყოველი ამ სიმდიდრის მფლობელმა მერიგ ჯონსმა, გადაწყვიტა გამოეძიებინა ამ უცნაური ჩვენის შესახებ და რამდენიმე თქმულებასაც წააწყდა.
1700 წლიდან მოყოლებული, ამ მხარეში დაავადება გავრცელებულა. ადამიანებს სჯეროდათ რომ თუკი ამ ხეებში მონეტებს შეაჭედებდნენ, ხეები დაეხმარებოდნენ განკურნებაში. ხოლო თუ ვინმე შეჭედილ მონეტას გამოაძრობდა, მაშინ დაავადება მასზე გადავიდოდა.
მოკლედ, ასე თუ ისე, ამ ლეგენდის ალალ-მართლობა არავინ იცის. მართლა ეპიდემიას ებრძოდნენ ინგლისელები თუ უბრალოდ ასეთი გართობა ჰქონდათ, ამაზე პასუხი არ არის.
სამაგიეროდ, ღირს-შესანიშნავი და უორიგინალურესი ხეები კი შემოუნახა ისტორიამ მათ.
