          მცირე მოცულობის და მარტივი სიუჟეტის მიუხედავად, ტურგენევის ეს მოთხრობა მსოფლიო ლიტერატურის შედევრად ითვლება. ვითარცა მაცხოვრის იგავებში არის ფარული შინაარსი, "მუმუ"_შიც უდიდესი სულიერი დატვირთულობაა. შეუძლებელია ადამიანი ჩაითვალოს განათლებულად თუ მას არასოდეს უფიქრია ასეთ მნიშვნელოვან ცნებებზე, როგორებიცაა სიყვარული, ერთგულება, თავისუფლება ... და თვით უფალი.

  ხოო მართლა კარგი მოთხრობაა,ტურგენევის ''მუმუ" და ჰარიეტ ბიჩერ სტოუს "ბიძია თომას ქოხი" იყო ჩემი ერთერთი ყველაზე საყვარელი წიგნები ბავშვობაში :))
