      საქართველოს ნაკრები, პირველად 2008 წელს, ბეიჯინგში გამართულ პარაოლიმპიურ თამაშებზე წარსდგა. დებიუტნტებისგან დიდ შედეგებს არავინ მოელოდა. 

      2016 წელს, რიოში გამართულ პარაოლიმპიურ თამაშებზე საქართველის პირველი მედალოსანი, თან ოქროსმედალოსანი ჰყავს - ზვიად გოგოჭური! 

      მან ფინალში უკრაინელი ოლექსანდრ ნაზარენკო დაამარცხა (4 გაფრთხილება მიიღო უკრაინელმა) და ოქროს მედალი მოიპოვა!
